This Year Broke Us... So, Why Should We Be Hopeful?

Many of us have been broken by this year. The magnitude of loss that’s been suffered is hard to articulate.

As individuals, families, organizations, and as a society — we will never be the same.

My heart has shattered over and over for people I love dearly and people I’ve never met. The collective grief that we’re experiencing is real and will be long lasting.

I was thinking about a panel I spoke on last year — which feels like an entire lifetime ago — about Setbacks and Comebacks. My fellow panelists and I talked about some of our most trying times and how we grew through them.
