As part of my series about “Powerful Womxn Who Are Changing The World”, I had the pleasure of interviewing Pam Marota, who invented and Patented a teddy bear named Kimo (chemo) to benefit Pediatric Oncology patients.

I am thrilled to highlight Pam Marota and the amazing work she is doing through her organization!

Pam Marota is a native San Franciscan with a passion for helping others. This spark helped lead her to invent and patent a teddy bear named Kimo, which is pronounced like “chemo”, to benefit Pediatric Oncology patients in 1996.

The Kimo Bear Project is a Not For Profit organization with a mission to provide each child diagnosed with Cancer with a Kimo Bear as a companion on their Intravenous Chemotherapy treatment journey.

Pam has been honored with a Jefferson Award and a Jacquline Kennedy-Onassis Award for Public Service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to catch up with me! I’ve been so inspired by
