Chloe Fox, Director at Veritas Marketing

As part of my Powerful Women series, I had the pleasure of interviewing Chloe Fox, Director at Veritas Marketing.

Chloe is a marketing agency founder, working with brands in STEM to build engaged online communities. An advocate for women in STEM and a keen networker, Chloe engages her own online audience of founders, CEOs, students, and fellow creatives with thought leadership, advice, and real talk via her growing LinkedIn following.

Thank you so much for connecting with me and sharing your story. I’m so excited to get started!

Thank you for listening! I’ve just about talked the ears off of all my current circle…

Tell me about yourself and what you do professionally:

I’m currently growing my marketing agency, Veritas, which is working with clients in STEM to build online communities, grow awareness of STEM brands in the modern media space, and helping to close the gender gap in STEM and Tech with PR, personal branding, social media marketing, and community engagement. I have an awesome team doing the groundwork while I spread the word and seek partnerships in the STEM community.

How did you get into this?

Well, I studied the sciences in school and college and always thought I’d go into a chemistry-focused career. However, when I left school, I was passed up for some opportunities and then found my attention drawn to more mainstream careers, marketing being one of them. I always loved the psychology, and analytical side of marketing and sort of fell into it, building a good freelance client base.

Then I decided I wanted to turn it into an agency, and was naturally drawn to really innovative companies that were working within the STEM fields. I went all in and focused on the sector, after noticing from my own experience that there are hundreds of beauty gurus, influencers, and millionaire business owners dominating the social media space. Still, these incredible, future-changing missions and stories in STEM were few and far between.
