When I was introduced to Emily by a mutual connection, I was immediately intrigued by her and the work she is doing. She has created a device that helps avoid painful sex — and her invention was inspired by a donut… Once we began our interview, I recognized so many gems of insight and wisdom in her story. What is Ohnut?

Ohnut is a wearable that allows couples to customize penetration depth, designed with pelvic specialists to help anyone who experiences pain when penetration goes uncomfortably deep.

What makes you great at what you do?

These days, life as an entrepreneur and life, in general, share the same passions. I’ve always sought out different ways to start open-minded and judgment-free interactions with some kind of spatial or tangible catalyst. It might sound silly or even unprofessional, but activities like adults playing in a ball pit for example, or giving a tiny letter with a compliment to a stranger — change both the rules and roles that govern our day to day actions.
